Medical Art

           

Medical art or illustration can be used for a number of purposes including:

  • Communicating medical information to a lay public audience
  • Creating and enhancing teaching resources for anatomists, medics, dentists and more
  • Communicating anatomical and medical information amongst experts through conference presentation and journal articles

Medical artists are trained in a range of traditional and digital media as well as having a good working understanding of anatomy and medicine.  They can produce 2D illustrations, 3D models and animations for use in a range of media including:

  • Print
  • Online
  • ibooks
  • Powerpoint
